East India Grill

East India Grill, Gateway Center Plaza, Federal Way, Washington.
As a blogger, I'd be terribly remiss in my duties if I didn't give a great big shout out about the East India Grill in Federal Way, Washington. After all, that's what this blog is all about. I live work and play in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and enjoy my adventures and sharing my travels and the wonderful places I come across.

Jill Bell, my friend and coworker at First American Title were having a great day in Federal Way calling on clients. Afterwards (we were starving) she mentioned one of her favorite places with numerous accolades about their luncheon buffet. Though my warning flag went up, I'm not one who's usually for buffets, I trust her judgement. "Sure, I'm game." Feeling adventuresome, yet more hungry than anything.

I'll cut to the chase. This is not only the best buffet I've ever been to, it's the best East India food I've had for a long long time! I couldn't believe it. For under $10 a piece we had a most delightful meal. The spices, textures, everything and I mean everything was fresh and delicious. We were greeted by the owner, made to feel very welcome and comfortable. It was as close to coming home to Mom's for a meal as one could wish for, though my mom never cooked in this style.

A working lunch with my friend and coworker Jill Bell at the East India Grill, Federal Way, Washington.

Thank you Jill for a wonderful 'working' lunch and turning me on to another fabulous place in my hood that I was unaware of. I just had to hit the line twice and try everything! Then we topped it off with a warm desert carrot dish with nutmeg and other spices and a dollop of vanilla ice cream on top. All I can say is, Please bring me back! Please!
