Fircrest Golf Club

Over the years I’ve attended several events at the Fircrest Golf Club. In late March I was at the annual Realtors® Awards Luncheon to celebrate achievements of my long time clients and friends.

It was a great afternoon and so much fun! Last week I was going through my camera and I came across this particular take from a bunch of shots I took when we were leaving. I was with my good friend and colleague Janet Matzke. When I saw this scene I yelled, “Pull over, pull over!” I think I startled her, yet she knows me and we both enjoy those wonderful moments of discovery.

I’m reminded what a beautiful place this truly is, the Fircrest Golf Course, on this rather moody sunny blustery late afternoon in spring.

The Fircrest Golf Club opened in 1924 and resides within the small incorporated City of Fircrest, Washington, adjacent east to University Place and (more or less) surrounded by the City of Tacoma. It’s a beautiful little community that incorporated in 1925 with a population of just under 6,000 residents in about 2,500 households.
