It's snowing in Renton, January 15, 2012.

This was taken from my condo in Renton, Washington on January 15, 2012. This was just the first dusting on our first snow for the year. Looking southwest the late afternoon sun is about to set. Little did we know then what we were in for as the Seattle area was brought to a standstill over the next few days.

My complex is on the hillside. We were pretty much iced in for three days and I didn't get out for groceries until Friday afternoon on the 20th. Love the fact that technology has created the luxury for me to work from home. This is driving past the Piazza in downtown Renton. It's warming up and raining.

First Moose Sighting of 2012

I spotted my first moose of 2012 on New Year's day. I was driving to south Tacoma via River Road in Puyallup.

This moose is stuffed of course and it stands on the roof of Puyallup Valley Taxidermy at 6514 River Rd E, Puyallup, WA 98371. It's been a familiar landmark for many decades.
